One of the wonderful things about studying sociology is the way in which you can apply the knowledge you learn to a wide range of others areas in society. One of which is film.

Here, I have tried to collect some of my favourite films to sociologically analyse. I have to admit, that one of my favourite sociology-based websites is The Sociological Cinema which does a far better job than me of looking at the different sociological concepts that run throughout films.

Below are some of the films that I enjoy from a sociological perspective – you may not like them, you may disagree. But that is what sociology is all about isn’t it. We all have our own perspective.
