On this page I will be adding a range of teaching resources for teachers and students to download. The content of these resources remains the property of the author (me!) but can be used and distributed in classrooms – because I know how hard it is to try and lesson plan for a week ahead when you have a hangover, three kids and a pile of washing to do (I’m a ‘new man’ – I wash my own pants). Hope you find these useful.
Methods in Context
One of my favourite resources to use is the Backwards MIC. Basically it is a good MIC essay to show to students and then get them to try and identify what bands each statement would fall into. Methods in context is one of the more difficult concepts for them to get their heads around, so working backwards and giving students examples I find a good way of showing students what a good response is like.
